Wide Sky Guitars
Behold: the P125c and Tawa. Wide Sky Guitars continue to rock my world in 2024. Some of the most astounding guitars I have ever encountered. Be sure to follow Patch Rubin over at Wide Sky Guitars on Instagram.
Kauer Guitars Gripen
I was honored to be the sole demo channel for the launch of the brand new Kauer Gripen, the first new model from Kauer Guitars in many years. It was launched at NAMM 2024 in Anaheim, California.
This Kauer Gripen features 3 Wolfetone Humbuckers and a global volume and tone. It’s an amazing guitar, and you can find it in many videos on my YouTube channel.
Be sure to follow Kauer Guitars on Instagram, and pick up a Gripen here.
Kauer Guitars Banshee
And then there was the Banshee goldtop, with three (3!) Lollar Pickups - a Firebird neck and middle, and a Mini-Humbucker bridge. It also features a Cocked Wah switch, as well as a switch to activate the middle pickup with whatever the Neck/Bridge 3 position switch has going on. Likely my most versatile guitar.
Kauer Guitars Banshee
This year marked finally owning not just one Banshee, but two. I found this gorgeous Taos Turquoise model with white binding and tortoise purling and I couldn’t resist. It absolutely blew me away with its sportscar-like finish, insanely fast neck, perfect plek job, and insanely good Lollar Pickups Firebird neck and Mini-Humbucker bridge.
R2R Electric
Chris Vincent (@djlavalamp on Instagram) changed my life with his amazing NOS fuzz and fuzz-adjacent creations such as silicon and germanium Rangemasters, Fuzz Faces, Tone Benders, and one of the best Wah Pedals I’ve ever witnessed. Be sure to check out his amazing work below, follow him on Instagram, and sign up for his mailing list - the only way you can get in on his super limited drops featuring pedals made with the increasing rare original transistors and other parts from the ‘50s and ‘60s.
LPD Pedals
Lawrence Petross approached me in late 2019 to discuss promotion on the Edge of Breakup channel, and when I received his pedals it became clear to me what a genius he was when it came to overdrive and amp-tone knowledge in the pedal world. We quickly decided to embark on a rebrand of his company, Lawrence Petross Design - now shortened to LPD Pedals.
The inaugural pedal of the new line, the SEVENTY4 overdrive, released on August 17th 2020, captures the amazing and touch sensitive feel and vibe of a Plexi but with an enhanced gain range, 3 band eq, and a presence control for added air.
Milkman Sound
One of my favorite makers in the world, Tim Marcus’ vintage sensibilities couple with imaginative and game-changing modern feature sets, to create entirely new takes on the past – that are still authentic, but unparalleled in quality.
I’ve taken a look at many of his products including The Super Creamer combo, The Amp 50, The Amp 100, and the F-Stop Tremolo Reverb pedal, and a 2x12 Jupiter Alnico Custom Cabinet. Most of my demos utilize his products as the amp in the signal chain, for other gear to be showcased with.
Spruce Effects
It’s been a thrill to work together with Brian of California’s own Spruce Effects on social media, photography, videography, guitar demos and some light design work.
Chase Bliss Audio x Benson: Automatone
When the Benson Preamp MKII by Chase Bliss Audio arrived, I knew I had to do a deep dive through tons of presets, from light overdrive to gated fuzz.
